And- just like that we are days away from kicking off the season!

It’s hard to believe that we’re about to embark on our fourth season since taking over from Greenhat Kiteboarding in 2021. What started with just Karl and me and a borrowed boat has now grown to a team of seven and two boats of our own!

Our target opening day is Saturday May 4th (wind permitting). We can’t wait to see everyone and get some warm Southerly windy sessions out at the island!

For those who are new to our community, here are a few pointers about how we operate:

· The schedule is posted on the website and distributed via e-mail 2-3 days prior to a favorable forecast.

· Booking is on first come first served basis once a scheduled day has been posted.

· We try to maximize the amount of time out on the water- therefore please clear your schedule for the day. We do this for the benefit of the students taking a lesson. Not to mention Marianna and Alex (our two most loyal island riders) who would kite well into the dark.

· We do our best to rate the wind so you can decide if it makes sense to take time off work or time away from your loved ones. A99 is our best rating – that means you call out of work sick or leave your partner at home. Always better to ask for forgiveness than permission!

· If email notifications for our schedule is not your thing, sign-up for our Text Message schedule alerts. 

·     Last year, we started the Ambassador program. Click the link to learn more about becoming an Ambassador and the benefits. Want a heads up on the schedule? Become an Ambassador.

·     We are an Affiliated IKO Center. For island riders who would like to get IKO Level III & IV certified – ask one of our authorized instructors to observe you perform a series of predetermined maneuvers. Upon successful completion, they will certify you.

Our boats are going into the water Thursday April 25th. We haven’t been out to the island yet, so we don’t know what condition we’ll find it in. We’ll most likely organize an Island Clean-up Day soon on a non-windy day. Those who volunteer will receive a free island ride credit to be used at any time a schedule is posted.

Let’s not forget – we are not just a kiteboarding school.Here’s what we also offer:

·     Wing Foiling is the fastest growing water sport in the world and the wave is coming! If you want to maximize the amount of days on the water you need to learn to Wing Foil. For the Westerly and Northeast days that we don’t go to the island, they are perfect for Winging!

·     There’s no wind in the forecast!! Well – don’t sit around sulking. That’s the kiss of death for kiters and wingers. Take an efoil lesson. Which is the perfect introduction to foiling.

·     Don’t feel like getting wet? Take a Oneweel tour or a Mountain Bike lesson and rip through the woods or carve turns like you were snowboarding on dirt.

And – the action doesn’t stop after the season ends!

·     Kite Trips: In the fall, we run a kite trip to OBX and a winter trip to a warmer destination. Checkout our Adventure Travel page to see some of the highlights from our past trips to La Ventana, Mexico and Salinas Del Rey Colombia. They’re always a blast and not to be missed! ·     Company Retreats: If you are part of a small company or perhaps a smaller team within a larger organization ask us about our Company Retreats. We will structure a day to get you and your group on the water to have a blast , efoiling and Winging. Think of it as an alternative to the afternoon company golf outing for the more adventure minded . It’s a perfect way to bond with your team or clients. We’ll set everything up for you!
