Wake Foiling

Wake foiling takes everything people love about boating, surfing, and foiling and combines it into one incredibly smooth ride. Using a hydrofoil board pulled behind a boat, riders lift above the water’s surface, creating a feeling that’s quiet, weightless, and unlike traditional wakeboarding or surfing.

Because the foil creates lift beneath the board, riders can glide with less resistance, less impact, and longer rides once up and flying.

At Kainetic Adventures, our wake foiling lessons in New Jersey are designed for beginners looking to experience hydrofoiling for the first time, as well as surfers, wakeboarders, and riders progressing into other foil sports like wing foiling and prone foiling.

THE adventure

[ ARE YOU READY TO RIDE? ]

What to Expect

Your session begins with a quick dockside introduction covering foil safety, boat communication, riding position, and how the hydrofoil responds beneath the board. Once on the water, your instructor will guide you through starts, balance, and controlling the foil while being towed behind the boat.

Most riders begin prone or kneeling before progressing to standing and eventually experiencing the moment the foil lifts silently above the water’s surface. As confidence builds, you'll learn how to maintain smooth, controlled flight above the water.

Because the boat provides consistent pull and speed, wake foiling allows riders to focus entirely on learning the feel of the foil without relying on wind or waves, making it one of the fastest and most effective ways to learn hydrofoiling.
