At Kainetic Adventures, we believe watersports should feel exciting, approachable, and accessible.
Based in Barnegat Bay, New Jersey, Kainetic Adventures is a family-owned, watersports school specializing in kiteboarding, wing foiling, e-foiling, wake foiling, prone foiling, and surfing lessons. From first-time riders to experienced riders looking to expand into foil sports, our goal is simple: help people safely build real skills and confidence on the water.
Kiteboarding remains at the heart of everything we do.
Our lessons take place primarily at Kite Island in Barnegat Bay — one of the best beginner kiteboarding environments on the East Coast. With shallow flat water, consistent wind, and safe learning conditions, it’s the ideal place to progress quickly while maximizing time on the water.

Kainetic Adventures proudly continues the instructional framework and teaching standards established through our partnership with Green Hat Kiteboarding, one of the most trusted kiteboarding retailers and schools in the country.
Owner Danny Michelson was originally one of Green Hat’s first students more than fourteen years ago before eventually taking over and evolving the school into a modern progression-based watersports academy focused on safety, accessibility, and long-term progression.
Today, more than 1,000 people from across New Jersey, New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, and the Northeast travel to Barnegat Bay to ride with Kainetic Adventures.
