At Kainetic Adventures, our surfing lessons in Beach Haven, New Jersey at Spray Beach Surf Club are designed for beginners, families, summer visitors, and anyone looking to experience the Jersey Shore in a completely different way.
With experienced instructors, beginner-friendly equipment, and local knowledge of New Jersey surf conditions, we create a safe, approachable environment that helps first-time surfers learn quickly while still delivering the excitement that makes surfing addictive.

What to Expect
Your lesson begins on the beach with a quick introduction covering surf safety, paddling technique, wave timing, popping up, and basic ocean awareness before heading into the water with your instructor.
Most first-time surfers start by learning positioning and timing in smaller waves before progressing toward standing rides and building confidence in the surf. Your instructor will provide guidance throughout the session to help you catch more waves and improve faster.
Because surfing combines physical movement, timing, and reading the ocean, every session is active, rewarding, and unique. No two days are the same, making each lesson a chance to build new skills while enjoying time in the water.

Lesson Details
- $150 per person
- 1.5-hour session
- Small-group instruction (2:1 ratio, occasionally 1:1 depending on bookings; excludes private group bookings)
- Location: Beach Haven, New Jersey
- Gear included: surfboard and rash guard
- Not included: wetsuit (recommended during colder months)
Best Conditions
One of the biggest advantages of e-foiling is consistency.
Since lessons don’t depend on wind, sessions can run far more frequently and with greater flexibility than traditional wind sports. Calm mornings and lighter boat traffic typically create the smoothest conditions, making it easier for beginners to learn and progress quickly.
