Wow! Winter is finally coming to a close. Consistent warm – and more
importantly – “windy” weather is around the corner. We’re very excited to get the season started, see you all again and meet new faces.
We purchased a new “used” boat, which is scheduled to go into the water at the end of April. Our goal is to be up and running by the first week of May. We’ll be going out to the island in style (well at least in a bit more comfort). We were featured in the last issue of the Waterfront magazine , so be sure the check us out using the below link (p.13) and our advertisement with Greenhat on (p.19). The Sandpaper Waterfront Magazine For those who are new to the scheduling around Island Rides and Kite lessons: We try to post a schedule three days in advance of a favorable wind forecast. If there is wind and we feel the conditions are safe, we will stay out on the island for the entire afternoon and until dusk. So clear your schedule! Lesson and Island Rides are only available for purchase once the schedule has been published. Remember, it’s first come first serve. The water will still be cold in May and early June. We recommend at least at a 4/3 wetsuit. Booties are mandatory. If you are in need of water apparel, please visit our partners at Greenhat. Additionally, if you are looking to purchase kite gear, foils or wings, now is the time to reach out to Green Hat!They are fully stocked and ready for the season. Lastly, remember to bring water, sunscreen and a snack. The days are long and you will want to be properly prepared.
We have removed the mandatory prerequisite Step one (Trainer Kite flying). However, if you are taking a Kite Skills lesson, we highly encourage you to purchase the Trainer Kite Package from Greenhat. If you want to accelerate the learning curve, this is the way to do it. The more time you spend flying the trainer kite and watching the progression video (which accompanies the trainer kite) the better off you will be!
We will be out e-foiling, SUPn’ down “The Creek” or ripping dirt on the one-wheels. No need to sit around and pray to wind gods for wind when there is plenty of adventures to be had! We provide all the necessary gear so you just need to show up and let us take care of the rest.
We have an electronic Waiver on the bottom right on the Welcome page of our website Kainetic Adventures. Please remember to sign the waiver. This is a new year and all participants will need to fill one out. In closing, please do not hesitate to reach out to us for any questions via email or phone (732) 800-2929. And don’t forget to follow us below on Instagram and Facebook. -Danny and Karl |
